Spaulding Youth Center Master Plan
The Spaulding Youth Center provides programs and services for youth with a range of neurological and developmental challenges. They hired Banwell Architects to develop a master plan that would capitalize on their existing buildings, upgrade their residential facilities help them attract new students and offer services and programs for the center future growth and sustainability.
Features of the master plan include:
• Use of surrounding property to enhance current programs and add new programs
• A general framework to guide the center’s development over the next 10-20 years
• A design that routes cars away from the center of campus to improve safety
• Retention of beloved views, buildings, stone walls, etc. to maintain close-knit community spirit
The new plan improves and expands the center’s current facilities, enabling them to develop programs for students that are transitioning out of youth services. Ongoing projects will develop the property toward financial stability as the center brings in new students and continues to retain graduating students.
