On October 5th, LISTEN Community Services celebrated the grand opening of their new store on Miracle Mile in Lebanon, NH. This was the culmination of almost a year and a half of hard work that included feasibility studies at neighboring facilities, the eventual purchase of the old Bridgman’s Furniture building and property, numerous design options and finally the construction/renovation of the new store.
The community support of this project was and still is unbelievable. The project received numerous media coverage throughout the design/build process. On a brisk Friday morning, seemingly hundreds of people were lined up for the ribbon cutting. Immediately following the cutting of the ribbon, it was announced that the store is now open and everyone erupted with cheers and celebration. It almost resembled a Black Friday event at Walmart!
This new space more than doubled their existing retail in the Upper Valley and allowed them to consolidate their retail and drop off locations. At almost 35,000 sf of retail space and storage, LISTEN finally has the space it needs to thrive. The space is large enough to accommodate all of their products in an organized display. Some of the displays include clothing, furniture, children’s toys, and seasonal rotations. Congratulations to Tim Fariel and Kyle Fisher of LISTEN who spent tireless hours to make this project possible. Special thanks to Nick Estes and Jeremy Maheu of Estes & Gallup (General Contractor) and all sub-contractors that helped make this project a reality.
