Banwell has geared up again to race at Whaleback Ski Area for the 2015 winter season! We had time trials last week and made the B league even though the course was glare ice and one of the lights was out on the course so it made it VERY dark. Our new team name is FRANKS WET GINNY PIGS. After a contest at our holiday party, this name was developed out of several possible names and seems to fit us well. There are over 200 racers and it’s great to see the Whale busy. Ginny Frankenstein is the race starter and has been for the last several decades and actually taught Ingrid how to ski.
Jules, Tom, Jeremiah and Zach also may be racing in future races so stay tuned for future reports on the Ginny Pigs!
