The grand opening of the expanded Golden Brook Elementary and renovated Middle School was an exciting and joyous celebration this fall. After over 3 years of planning and construction, the students are enjoying new facilities that promote 21st Century Learning environments with a Project Based Learning curriculum.
It has been a privilege to be part of such a talented and cooperative team that put the students first and delivered a project on time and under budget! Past and present contributors from the community, parents, students, Richard Langlois, the Windham Schools Superintendent, the Windham School Board members and many of the educational team were on hand for the fun. It was a treat to watch so many “experience” the schools and marvel at the transition. Frank Edelblut, the Commissioner of Education for New Hampshire, was able to attend and was very complimentary.
Days like this are the “icing on the cake” for an exciting and collaborative process which has culminated in schools which embody Banwell’s Vision by “Improving the Human Condition one building at a time”.
