The New England Baseball Complex
New England Baseball Complex in Northborough, MA is a baseball training center for the New England Ruffnecks, a College Development Program that coaches, trains and develops promising 13 to 18 year old baseball players for high school and college team success, with a sizable and growing alumni roster in the major leagues. It fields several teams that travel for league games and tourneys.
Banwell Architects designed its new home field complex that includes three fully-lit, synthetic turf fields to extend their daily and seasonal availability, attract player candidates and serve nearby college teams for all weather training. The project included six dugouts, concession, maintenance buildings, and a new two story, 35,000 sf training center that includes spaces for indoor training, practice and conditioning as well as medical offices and physical therapy facilities. The new building also includes administrative offices, ticket and souvenir sales.
