Wolfeboro Public Safety

Banwell was hired to work with the Town of Wolfeboro to develop plans for a major Renovation / Addition to their Public Safety Building. The project was phased to allow for continuous operation of the Town’s Public Safety Operations throughout the entirety of construction.

The project phasing first saw the construction of a new Fire Apparatus Bay, as well as other ancillary spaces, and the subsequent demolition of the existing Apparatus Structure.

Upon completion of that work, the second phase included the construction of a new wing, joining this new Facility with the existing Office Building. This new space houses both Police and Fire Department Functions, in addition to multiple Community Spaces. With Phase 2, complete a major renovation of the existing Office Building will take place, updating the space for Police Department use.

The final design consists of approximately 30,000 square feet, including Office and Service spaces, Apparatus Bays and Garage Space. Renovations to the existing building accounts for approximately 6,000 square feet, while the new construction totals approximately 24,000 square feet.

Construction is scheduled to be completed in May 2025.
